Enter Your Rig

One photo and the basics. You'll get your Boat Score the moment you hit the button, plus a seed in Week 40 · Sep 28 – Oct 4. Voting closes Sunday, October 4 at 11:59 PM UTC.

1 real rig in the field so far · every entry is scored by the same public rubric.

1. The photo (required)

One shot of the whole boat — this one's required, no photo no score. JPG, PNG, WEBP or GIF, and don't worry about the size: a big phone photo gets shrunk for you before it goes anywhere.

Your photo appears on your score card, next to your Boat Score, and on the bracket wherever your rig is listed — it sits at a public link on this site, so anyone can open it, no sign-in. It's re-encoded in your browser before it uploads, which is where a big phone photo gets shrunk and where the camera metadata, including any location tag, comes off. Nothing else is done with it: no email, no selling, no third parties. There's no account and no auto-delete: your display name and the boat's details sit beside it, and the photo stays up until you take it down. Every entry gets a private removal link the moment it's submitted, and one press of that deletes the photo file and the entry — here's exactly what that does.

2. The boat

Optional — skip it if you don't have one. It shows under your boat's name on your card, so the boats from the same dock can find each other.

Classics score well here — this isn't a depreciation table.

Whatever the badge says. If the length is in the name too, great — the length box below is still the one we trust.

One of the two numbers that decide the power score. Without it we fall back to your model name and say so.

A centre console, a pontoon, a liveaboard and a sailboat expect very different horsepower per foot — this is how we know which one you have.

This is the single-vs-twin screw question in plain words: how many engines turn the props. One benchmark number is doing that job for a single- and a twin-screw hull alike, so tell us the count and we judge your horsepower against one engine's worth — or two — instead of guessing it from your engine text.

Write it the way you'd say it at the dock — "Yamaha 250 four-stroke", "Twin Yamaha 250s", "Mercruiser 5.7L". Leave the horsepower box blank and we read the number out of this.

Typing the number is the quickest and the most exact — it is what the power score is judged against. Leave it blank and we will read it out of your engine text, and the card will tell you the number we read.

3. The honest bit

These questions, and they are the ones the marina will argue with you about. Answer them straight — we treat what you tell us as your claim, not as a fact, and we say so on the card.

Overall condition

A 5/5 on its own doesn't buy full condition points — the hours below have to agree with it.

Low hours on an old hull? We will notice, and the score will say so — that's the claim-context part of the score.

No trailer question.

This site is for centre consoles, bass boats, pontoons, cruisers, liveaboards, sailboats, classics and sportfishers alike. Most of those are never trailered, so we don't ask.

4. Who's claiming this?

Just a name for the bracket. No account, no password, no email address.
